Did you know that millions of pennies are thrown away in the trash every day? I wish I could cast a spell like “Accio Pennies” and have all the abandoned pennies find a new home in my piggy bank. But, since I’m a muggle, I keep finding new ways to save.
Inbox Dollars
“Inbox Dollars” is a website (and app) with multiple ways to earn money, from a penny to several dollars. It always has a “Learn and Earn” trivia or survey question that you answer for a penny (whether you get it right or wrong). The site also pays to print coupons, redeem coupons, complete surveys, conduct web searches, watch videos, upload receipts, playing games, or get a percentage of cash back when you shop online. They also have daily emails with different offers, but even if you don’t complete the offer, you still get a couple of cents for clicking on the email. I like that you can see your total amount earned in real time. You can cash out once you reach $20 via PayPal or a gift card. My lifetime savings for this app, which I have done very casually for the past few years, is in the hundreds. They also have a referral program that earns you bonuses (without costing your friend money, either). Use my referral link and give it a try! https://www.inboxdollars.com?rb=78070724&ref_src=link
Swagbucks
Swagbucks is incredibly similar to Inbox Dollars, with all the same ways to earn money. They also have bonuses for earning a daily goal, a 7-day streak of earning, and a version of bingo called Swago. My lifetime savings for this app is also in the hundreds. There was a time when I made a daily habit of logging into all my cash back sites for just a couple minutes a day and the savings really added up. I’m not as diligent as I once was, but another good thing about these apps is, even if you forget about them for a while (like months), your points are still there when you log back in. They also have a referral program, so check it out here https://www.swagbucks.com/lp-savings-button?cmp=695&cxid=swagbuttonref&rb=12924925&extRefCmp=1&extRb=12924925
Shopkick
My aunt introduced me to this app. You can get “kicks” (i.e. points) for discovering stuff, like watching a 10-second ad. Each “kick” is worth a penny. You can also earn points just by walking inside a store (you need to open your app to do this) or even submitting receipts when you buy specific items. You can link a debit or credit card to this app if you like, too, but it isn’t required. This one also shows real-time point accumulation, payable by PayPal once you hit $20, and a referral program.
