Bio

Hillary Contreras, is the creator of Quirky Squirrel and author of the Quirky Squirrel blog. She is currently seeking representation for her debut novel, “In the Presence of Wolves.”

Hillary is originally from Southern California and moved to Arizona at the age of ten.  She was a shy child and found both comfort and adventure in books. Growing up, she discovered a love for travel, languages, and martial arts. She has worked as an English professor, police dispatcher, social worker, and investigator – roles which have each given her unique perspectives of many walks of life. Hillary has a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Northern Arizona University.

An introvert at heart, Hillary loves the quiet. She lives in the Phoenix area with her husband (Nik), daughter (Zoe), and the family Rottweilers (Remus & Chloe).
