About the Author

Hillary Contreras, author of the Quirky Squirrel blog, holds a Master's Degree in English Literature from Northern Arizona University. She is currently seeking representation for her debut novel, "In the Presence of Wolves."

Hillary is originally from Southern California and moved to Arizona at the age of ten.  She was a shy child and found both comfort and adventure in reading. She later came to love travel, languages, and martial arts. She has worked as a teacher, police dispatcher, social worker, and investigator - roles which have each given her unique perspectives of all walks of life. 

An introvert at heart, she loves the quiet. She lives in the Phoenix area with her husband, daughter, and the family Rottweilers.
